We welcome every camper with adventure, community, and life in Christ. The very nature of Camp, brings us out of our comfort zones and into a life cut off from distraction, so we can experience and explore God’s beautiful creation. Summer Camp brings us together with lasting friendships, strengthened through intentional life together. Together we soak in God’s Holy Word to develop and grow our relationships with Christ, people, and the world. If you plan to attend camp with your group, fill out our Volunteer Application.
Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center is located in Glen Rose, Texas and is an extension ministry of the Central Texas United Methodist Conference. Our camp is located on the Paluxy River where retreat guests and campers experience the beautiful Texas hills while staying comfortable in our cabins, lodges and education facilities.

SUMMER CAMP
FIRST WEEK-LONG CAMP
Discovering independence, new interests, friendships, and a solid foundation. (week-long for grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8)

Elementary Camp is ONE COMBINED CAMP for campers going into 3rd-8th grade in the fall of 2024. It is an overnight, week-long camp with special activities for each grade! 5th-8th graders get to ZIPLINE! Camp activities include worship, fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, crafts, archery, small group meetings, and specialized sessions. Different grade levels are eligible for different activities.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

High School Camp is for campers going into 9-13th grades in the fall of 2024. This is an overnight, weeklong camp. Camp activities include worship, fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, crafts, archery, zipline, small group meetings, and specialized breakout sessions. (13th grade denotes the summer after completing Senior year).

JUNIOR HIGH DETAILS

Shortened adventure as an intro to the Camp experience.

Trek Camp is an introduction to overnight camping for campers going into grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the fall of 2024. Campers will stay in lodging with 12-14 campers and 2 trained adults. Campers will travel to camp activities with their roommates and staff members. Camp activities include worship, fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, crafts, archery and small group meetings.
