Children and Youth need camp more than ever and we are gearing up for the best summer at Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center. It is never too early to get summer camp on your calendar! Registration for Summer is open and we would love your help to fill up our weeks of summer camp.

Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center has been serving the churches of our conference since 1939, and we are excited to once again serve you in 2023. Glen Lake Camp strives to create a Christian environment where authentic relationships are formed. Campers at Glen Lake will experience unique adventures, be introduced to an intentional community (their cabin group), and share life in Christ together. We spend the entire year leading up to Summer Camp searching, recruiting, and vetting the very best to serve as our Summer Staff. These Jesus-loving college students spend months preparing, 2 full weeks in training, and are given the tools to provide a safe Summer Camp experience as they share Jesus with all of our campers. We offer week-long overnight camps for campers in grades 3rd-12th, and weekend camps for 1st-3rd graders, plus two family camp weekends this summer. We provide the camp experience, and all you have to do is share it with your campers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Share our camps with your Children/Youth Ministry Directors.
Has your children's ministry/youth ministry directors heard about our conference camp? Some of our ministry leaders just do not know we are available to them. Encourage them to get connected with us and we would love to connect with them. You can share their information with us below. We can even connect them with other youth and children's ministers in their area. Even further, invite one of our staff members to join you and the Ministry Leader from your church for coffee.

Promote Camp to your church families.

You can be our biggest promoter. Share with your church families about the different options available for Summer Camp for campers and families. A great place to begin is to share our website • https://www.glenlake.org/summer. Add us into your church newsletter, link our page on your churches website as a ministry partner, and of course word of mouth is our most successful way that people share about Summer Camp at Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center. Know a College Student? SUMMER STAFF

Help us find our Jesus-loving Summer Staff. Summer Staff work all summer with us and we have a few different positions for them. We train and equip staff to lead and serve. Everybody knows at least one college student, and we hope you will connect them with us. We are recruiting now, applications are live at https://www.glenlake.org/summerstaff. Do you know about our Emerging Leaders Institute?

This is the perfect opportunity for the students in your church that show christian leadership to serve this summer in a tangible and life-impacting way. We want to see high school students (current 10th, 11th, & 12th graders) grow in their faith, make an impact, and develop as the leaders the world needs. Glen Lake Emerging Leaders Institute is specifically designed to be the catalyst encouraging campers in their relationship with Christ, the church, and all people. It IS NOT a Bible study, or a Sunday school class, or a passion-packed worship event. It IS a guided tour of who God created you to be, how God created you to lead, what it means to be a servant leader, and what it means to live in Christian community.

Emerging Leaders application are open now. Emerging Leaders must be connected to a local church and have a recommendation from their pastor. Emerging Leaders are also expected to serve in a leadership role at their local church in the Fall following a summer at camp, and we walk with them every step of the way.

GIVE
As a non-profit camping ministry, we have an ongoing need for capital improvements, upkeep and maintenance for our multitude of camps, retreats and other programs. We also offer financial aid to individuals and families in need so they can attend camp. GIVE OF YOUR TIME. We have several opportunities to volunteer, we would love to connect with you about how you can volunteer for our Programs here at Glen Lake Camp.
